Bedroom project

Hello everyone! Cleveland sure is treating us well. All our friends and family here have been so helpful with our move.

Until we find a home, we're staying with my husband's brother. He recently purchased his first home. It's a cute house and its perfect for him. His goal was to eventually remodel a large room that takes up the entire upstairs and use it as his master bedroom. As a thank you for allowing us to stay with him we agreed to help him out. Fortunately the entire family got involved so it went pretty quickly!

The room was originally a young girls room and had lavender ceilings, walls and carpet. As you can imagine he was very excited to get rid of this color! He would like to give it a modern, masculine loft feel. We began by removing a large portion of build in cabinetry. We left one set of drawers and plan to sand and then paint them. We then selected a pale silvery grey color for the walls, ceiling and trim. Finally, we took up the carpet and found very old linoleum that was hideous. We then had to fill some areas to properly install the laminate wood flooring that he selected. He selected laminate for durability however we found a really great looking option at a great price.

Here are some pictures!

More pictures to come as the project gets completed!
