Several people have asked me recently for room decor ideas for their kiddos so I thought I'd share some!
I normally encourage people to use colors other than pink for girls and blue for boys. If you are going to stick with pink or blue I encourage you to consider different ways to use the paint.

This room is pale pink with accents of a darker pink and one darker pink accent wall. The wood floor makes the pink not seem like too much. Add a pale carpet and it would be a little over the top. Make sure when selecting paint colors you consider the finishes in the room that you won't be changing. |

The oranges and blues mixed with the pink really give the room a fresh, new look. This is a great way to use pink but make it look updated. Plus the butterfly wall decal is great fun! Some people get carried away with decals. No need to cover each wall, simply add one focal point. |

I really like the green paint below the chair rail. It's a great green color but isn't overwhelming in the small room. Green with pink accents is a nice color combo for a girls room. |

Like I said above, I encourage people to try newer color combos for girls. This room uses berry and aqua. This will be great as she starts to grow up and won't want a pink princess room anymore. Aquas are great for a girls room, its a soothing color and looks great with pinks, greens, blues and yellows. |

Yellow is probably my favorite room color for children. It's unisex and goes with so many different colors. Add pink, blue or green accents in different tones for fun. |

This is a great room color, a fabulous orange color with pink accents in two different tones. The splashes of aqua really set off the look. How cute! |
Hope this provided you some fresh new ideas! Happy decorating!
