White Magnolia

White Magnolia boutique in Chagrin Falls has just expanded!

I've always loved my trips to Chagrin Falls. Of course you eat great food, visit great shops and finish the day with Jenis' ice cream, what could be better than that!  My mother visited last week and I took her to the village for the day and was thrilled to discover that White Magnolia boutique and cakery has expanded to twice the size!

I love Etsy!

Its hard to believe but there are still people out there who don't know about Etsy. Etsy.com is a wonderful website full of handmade and vintage items. Search for a handmade scarf for your sister, handmade blankets for your little ones, even decorative accessories for the home. You're sure to find great, meaningful gifts for everyone on your list.

Recently read....

I have found Kelly Cutrone the founder of People's Revolution interesting and saw her book while at the bookstore recently. This New York Times Bestseller is called "If You Have To Cry Go Outside". It's by Kelly Cutrone along with Meredith Bryan.

If you know anything about Kelly, you know she's one tough cookie and she's certainly not into sugar coating things. She wrote about her personal experiences along with advice about how to really be a go-getter without anyone or anything holding you back.

While it didn't flow the best, the book was overall pretty good. I really felt a few areas of this book spoke to me. Being a designer, you have to put so much of yourself out there for criticism, similar to the fashion industry. You're showing off your thoughts, ideas and style and have to really stand behind it. Everyone has their own opinion and not everyone is going to love your interior. You have to just know that it looks fab and believe in yourself.

I purchased my book at Borders however it's also available at Amazon.com

Bathroom ideas

It seems like a lot of people are working on their bathroom decor. I have pulled some images for inspiration. There are so many fun things to do with a bathroom.

This is such a soft purple color and the white looks great. I would add more greenery and a bit of an accent in another color though.

This is a fun bathroom, even the toilet seat is pink. This is probably only for single ladies though.

This is a bit more of what you'd see every day. The tile floor is great. Just a a big fluffy rug and some accessories and its done.

I love the old bathtub in this. All the white looks great with the medium wood accents. It's a very natural look and something I'd do in my house.

Doesn't everyone want to sit by a roaring fire while they bathe! What a great look!

Green is a great color. Just make sure there is plenty of light where you are applying make-up or the green cast could cause some problems. Also, check out the arched doorway to the shower.

This is a fun, modern bathroom. The grout color you choose for a tile floor can really create a fun accent!
