Autumn Dinnerware and Table Decor

One of the best things about Autumn is decorating with the gorgeous colors of reds, browns, gold, and green.

I especially love a beautifully set table in
Fall colors!

Here is some inspiration for your dining table decor:

Start your guests off with these great appetizer plates from JCPenney Home. They have a slight metallic accent that really adds to your table.

This lovely dinneware from Pier 1 Imports can really make a statement against a neutral tablecloth. Each piece is between $5 and $7!

Serve up your favorite nuts or candies in this antiqued bronze Maple Leaf Serving Bowl from Pier 1.

Pottery Barn has this gorgeous Pear Platter. It would be perfect for serving a variety of scrumptious foods and it's dishwasher and microwave safe.

If you prefer a more clean lined look, these great dishes in red/orange from CB2 are the perfect way to liven up your table.

Happy Autumn decorating!

HOST AN AUTUMN GATHERING

I simply love this time of year. Everywhere you look there are gorgeous colors. Plus, there a bit of chill in the air, just the perfect temperature to cozy up with a warm scarf and a bottle of wine.

One of the most memorable fall events I've been to, was an autumn outdoor gathering. Everyone brought their favorite bottle of wine, we had a stunning fruit and cheese plate and all sat outside around a fire relaxing and catching up.
 Talk about simple!

Send out an e-vite, then pick up a  bottle of wine, I find great wines at World Market. Ask your friends to bring some also. Then stop at the supermarket for cheeses, grapes and crackers. Toss all this on a plate and voila! If you don't have a space in the back yard for a fire pit, head to a local park.

This time of year you can find easy decorations just outside your door. Gather a variety of leaves to scatter on the table, maybe add some small twigs. I promise, this will be the easiest party you've ever planned!

Interior Decor For Fall

Go head, bring the gorgeous outdoors in!

Autumn is my favorite time of year. I have always loved working with the beautiful colors of fall. Here a couple quick tips for creating an amazing interior with a Fall theme. Start with greens or browns or neutrals and add the colors of fall leaves; red, orange and gold.

I also love adding an eggplant hue to this autumnal mix.

Be sure to balance the dark hues with light colors by using light browns, greens and creamy beige colors. This will partner with the deep colors and prevent the room from becoming too dark.
