Sherwin Williams, one of my go-to paint companies has introduced their Color of the Year for 2013.

Aloe SW6464

So what do you think?

SW's director of color marketing describes this color as "high adaptable, making it a perfect pick for everyday spaces such as a breezy sunroom or a well-dressed living room.”

To be honest, I wasn't sold at first but after spending some time thinking about specific rooms that I would use it in and how to use it, I really started to like it. Not only could this really soften and lighten a room, using this as an accent paint color would work wonderfully. I love the idea of using this in a clients' newly built sunroom. We'll accent with soft yellows, a sisal rug and her amazing indoor plant collection.

INSPIRED BY SAND AND SEA AT Z GALLERIE

Even though Z Gallerie stores may be a little hard to come by, I am always on their website to see what's new. I really like this new collection "Inspired by Sand and Sea". It's filled with gorgeous colors and finishes.

The aquamarine Brighton sofa is gorgeous. The color is soft and elegant and the sofa style is much the same. This piece would be perfect for a sitting room or slightly more formal room.

Z Gallerie also has the Brighton style in the color Moonbeam. This color is a very soft, slightly taupish grey tone. I think this would be lovely and possibly easier to match with your current decor.

If you love the elegance of these upholstered pieces, you'll probably also fall in love with this Pascual Coffee table with its metallic champagne finish and antiqued mirrors.

For coordinating accessories, you'll love the Cielo Candelabra, Deja Vu Pillow and the Montego Frames.

Bedroom inspiration

My next design project is going to be a bedroom that is black, white and aqua. I plan to look for mostly white furniture, use a lot of black and white artwork and add a nice amount of aqua. This room will have a bit of a shabby chic look but still be clean lined. Thought I'd share some of my inspiration with you!

I also love looking on etsy.com for inspiration, there is soooo much creativity there!
These are from a shop called fabulousmess.
LOVE this piece from the shop picks4u.
